As a mechanical engineer with a master’s degree in renewable energy, Tony started his career in the renewable energy and energy efficiency sector with the Lebanese Center for Energy Conservation. During his tenure there, he assisted in multiple international programs in cooperation with the World Bank, the EC, and multiple projects in collaboration with European ministries. He assisted in the evaluation of the first solar PV PPA in Lebanon and in the development of a feasibility study for the first CSP plant in the country.
Since 2021, Tony joined MEDREG as a Policy Expert and is assisting in the development of support activities to MPC members based on the needs of each of them. He is strongly committed to work on energy transition and believes there is a big role that can be played by the regulators to facilitate the matter.
