Omar Chambergo

Chair of VIII WFER and Osinergmin

Omar Chambergo is the current Chair of the Board of Directors of Osinergmin. He is a petrochemical engineer, graduated from the National University of Engineering. He has a Master's degree in Business Administration from ESAN and the General Management Program at UDEP, and he has also developed research in nanotechnology applied to natural gas at Texas A&M University – USA with considerable knowledge in the energy sector.

He has more than 25 years of experience in the public and private sectors, including PETROPERU, Repsol, Maple Gas and Aguaytia Energy. He was former Operations and Supervision Manager of Liquid Hydrocarbons at Osinergmin, Contract Supervision Manager at Perupetro and General Director of Hydrocarbons and Advisor to the Ministerial and Vice Ministerial Office of Hydrocarbons at the Ministry of Energy and Mines of Peru (MINEM).
