Anna K. Fung

Deputy Chair of British Columbia Utilities Commission

Anna has practised law in British Columbia, Canada since 1986.  She was appointed as a full-time Commissioner of the BC Utilities Commission in December 2017 after serving as Vice President of Legal and General Counsel for TimberWest Forest Corp. During her tenure at TimberWest, she also served as the inaugural Chief Ethics Officer.  In 2019, she was appointed as Deputy Chair of BC Utilities Commission. She was previously Corporate Counsel at Intrawest ULC and Senior Counsel at BC Gas Inc. (now Fortis BC).  She holds a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts (English and French) from the University of British Columbia. She earned her Certified Canadian Corporate Counsel designation in 2015.

 

She has served as President of each of the British Columbia Law Society, Canadian Corporate Counsel Association, People’s Law School, Association of Chinese Canadian Professionals, and BC Autism Association. She is a director of the UBC Alumni Association and the BC Council of Administrative Tribunals and a past director of the Vancouver Airport Authority and the Continuing Legal Education Society.  She also serves as Chair of the BC Unclaimed Property Society and as the Vice-President of the Canadian Chapter of the Energy Bar Association. She is fluently bilingual in English and French and also speaks Cantonese and Spanish.
